PROJECTS
Cleanroom and Laboratory SimulatorVR trainings simulator
During my time at Innerspace I helped to establish a dedicated UX and Trainings design team. Part of this was to find the right way to communicate between developer, product owner, 3D and pharmaceutical experts. Also the ways in which way the UX team designed the different training modules and handed them over to the development teams, was taken into consideration. A big challenge in creating the storyboards was to include the different aspects. The pharmaceutical background, the level of education of the end users and the possibilities of technical implementation. |
Part of my work at Innerspace was:

Poltergeist Bootcamp |
Virtual reality competitive multiplayer game
Most people think that after death you can simply choose whether you become a normal ghost or a poltergeist. Only few know what is really behind it: Long and hard training! But now we have the chance to not only see it, but to experience it ourselves. In Poltergeist Bootcamp you take on the role of a poltergeist and have to defeat your opponent in a series of mini-games. Wreaking havoc, finding the right item first and stopping your opponent from getting there first are just some of the challenges awaiting you. As a game and UI designer it was very fun to bring in the 50s design. It was difficult to find objects that would be suitable to climb on, as well as to differentiate them visually. The mini-games are randomly selected from a pool of games, but the first one and the one that is still the most fun is destroying cups. The biggest challenge was to make sure that the mini-games were balanced and that the interaction with the game world was comprehensible. Especially interaction with VR is quite difficult for beginners. Another important point was to prevent motion sickness. We mastered this with by having the player move the controllers and thus the hands quickly up and down, similar to running to fake movement to the body. It was a ton of fun to work on the project and I was able to learn a lot. |
SirCuit |
Puzzle game
Creating the character of SirCuit, the AI that needs help restoring a GPU, was a lot of fun. Especially during the limited part of a game jam. Since my partners took care of the programming and modeling, as well as lighting, the rest was left to me:
The obvious reference to a circuit was reflected in the game design. The player has to lay individual circuits. There are several floors and different colors, which must not overlap. From level to level it becomes more difficult and more colors are added. The levels were planned on paper and then implemented with the help of the programmed level designer. For a Game Jam game it turned out very well in my opinion. SirCuit will be happy if you drop by! |

Thats me, Alisa
Hello and thank you for taking a look at my portfolio! I hope you liked the projects you saw above. :) I had a lot of fun working on them and really like how they turned out.
After my education to become a graphic designer I studied to become a "Diplom-Ingenieur" (equivalent to M.Sc.). I am very passionate about games. They are a medium that can reach people emotionally as few others can. Not only with stories but especially with their interactivity and gameplay; the fun and frustration of it. Therefore I see games and especially game design as a part of storytelling. It's not the most obvious way of doing so (words have been used for storytelling for much longer after all) but no less important. Some facts about me: I am a creative person who likes to learn new skills all the time. I like it when people are open and direct with me, as I try to act the same way. My fascination with Greek and Norse mythology has remained with me since childhood, as has my love for animals. I grew up with cats and dogs. In my free time I like to read science fiction and fantasy and also write stories in German, play role playing video games, LARP and Pen & Paper. And last but not least: I have many colorful and unusual mugs, which bring me great joy. Cheers! |
